As a part of the jollifications of 75 years of India’s independence and the ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the 'Brahmaputra Utsav 2021' has been celebrated with great pomp and show in four districts of Assam – Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Majuli, Kaliabor and one in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.
The celebrations have been successful in meeting its purpose and have been able to make a distinct mark in the local as well as the national media coverage. The festival has been successful in sending across its message of respecting the river to the mass of the state.
